The point is do you think that makes us nerds? If all we do is play games? Well, maybe if ALL we do is play games and sleep I could see that, but if we do other things as well (like sports, hang with friends, or even school) then we are not!
Personally I would love to just play Nintendo and sleep the whole time (which is most likely what I will be doing in the Summer), but I can't! I don't really like labels, but I thought this would be kind of fun to write about! Once again what do you think people have to be to be qualified as a nerd? (I say their name has to be Mary!)
*Side note: I love love love writing for this blog! Thanks Holly for giving me this AWESOME opportunity!! Once again I am sorry I don't post very often, but now that school is out I will be back on schedule!! Love all you guys who take time to read this!
This article cracked me up - if only because the other day, we were playing Magic: The Gathering at work, talking about Diable 3 and fantasy Football. There were 5 of us sitting in the conference room, staying after hours so we could do this, when one of our other co-workers poked his head in, watched and listened for a moment and joking called us 'nerds'.
ReplyDeleteIt's awesome coming from him, because he plays video games, is very smart - does programming in his spare time. Our department? We're all technical support for a software company. So it was nerd calling out nerds. But it was all in good fun.
