Club Nintendo to offer double the coins for New Super Mario Bros. 2 download

Nintendo has been planning for a while now to offer the game New Super Mario Bros. 2 as both a retail purchase and an eShop download. Club Nintendo has recently announced that players who go with the download over the physical package will get double the coins when they take the registration survey: 100 coins compared with 50.

What does this news mean to you? Are the 50 extra coins enough incentive to download the game as opposed to going with the cartridge? Let us know in a comment!

  1. I'm goin digital from now on. I'm sure to lose cartridges, and I don't have to bring along a bunch of cartridges if they're on my 3ds. Plus, when they add the account system, I know my stuff will be safe online, even if I break/lose my 3ds. But how much memory will it take? A bunch. I happen to have an awesome 32 gig SD card that came in my friends camera, otherwise I'd just get my 1 or 2 fav games digitally, and others on cartridge.

    1. Sounds like you're set then! There are definitely pros and cons to each option, though. I'll be happy enough with my cartridge, even if it means I'll be sacrificing 50 Club Nintendo coins. Mmm.
